Birds On A Branch Art Project
This is a super cute project that is ideal for small hands. I did it twice with Kindergarten classes. Below you’ll see two versions. There is one that requires cutting and gluing (blue background) and one that is simpler (white background).
You can do this in small groups to allow for more control and offer more support or if you have a more independent class, you can do it as a whole group activity.
Timeline:
*Both versions will require two sessions, one for painting, one for details
Version 1 (white background) - 10-20 min + 10-20 min
Version 2 (blue background) - 10-20 min + 30 min

White paper
Scissors
Glue stick
Sharpie
Supplies version 2

Cut white and blue paper lengthwise for long strips
Steps version 1
Paint three circles side by side. I recommend choosing three different colours
Leave to dry
Using a Sharpie, draw a branch, legs and faces on the birds

Steps version 2
Paint three circles side by side. I recommend choosing three different colours
Leave to dry
Cut out the circles and create a branch.
Glue the circles and branch onto the blue background.

Use a cotton ball dipped in paint to make fluffy clouds
