Winter Penguin Art Project
This project can be as simple or as complicated as you’d like it to be.
The directions are for the most basic version, though to spice it up you can do a painted background.
Time required: 1 session (up to 60 minutes)
Materials:
White paper (printer weight)
Construction paper
blue - full sheet per student
black - full sheet per student
orange - 1/4 sheet per student
various - 1/4 sheet per student White pastel, crayon or pencil crayon
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Sharpie or black marker
Steps:
Black paper: Cut out the body of the penguin.
White paper: Cut out two eyes and the belly of the penguin.
Orange paper: Cut out a triangle for the beak.
Various colours: Cut out two circles for the earmuffs.
Scarf can be either construction paper or white paper that’s been coloured. Choose the one that suits you best.
Assemble all the pieces together by gluing them onto the background.
Add a curved line for the earmuff band and colour in the pupils of the eyes.
Add snowflakes with a white pencil crayon, crayon or pastel.
