Fizzy Inflator Science Experiment

Materials:

• 1 clean pop or water bottle (small with label removed)

• 1/2 cup vinegar

• 1 balloon

• Baking soda

• Funnel

Procedure:

• Carefully pour the vinegar into the bottle.

• Use the funnel to pour baking soda into the balloon until it’s about halfway full.

• Stretch the neck of the balloon around the opening of the bottle. Be careful not to tip any baking soda into the bottle yet.

• Lift the balloon up so that the baking soda falls into the bottle and mixes with the vinegar.

• Watch what happens to the balloon.
